“With
the fourth of July rapidly approaching, it is certainly understood that
fireworks are a large part of that celebration. Professional fireworks
displays can create a fun and enjoyable night for all. However, when
taken away from professionals and used by amateurs, fireworks can become
extremely dangerous.
In Baltimore City ALL FIREWORKS ARE ILLEGAL!
Violators
who possess or discharge illegal fireworks are subject to a misdemeanor
fine of up to $250. The sale of fireworks without a permit is a
misdemeanor punishable by up to a $1,000 fine. (Public Safety Article
10-110). In addition with being fined and or arrested for illegal
fireworks, you can be fined for Noise regulation beyond basic sound, up
to $100. Individuals found in violation of these laws face arrest and
prosecution, in addition to possible serious injuries as a result of
their carelessness.
